A local connection
Delivery support shaped around the job.
JW Delivery is being explored as a focused connection between local businesses and independent drivers—without pretending to be a full food-ordering marketplace.
The production service is not live. Job posting, driver approval, negotiation, tracking and payment are proposed workflows currently represented by local prototype work and require further operating, legal and commercial approval.

Understand the difference
Marketplace reach or focused delivery support?
These services include different features and should not be compared on commission alone. Figures below were checked against UK merchant sources on 1 November 2026.

Where Just Eat provides delivery. Its UK sign-up page also publishes 14% + VAT where the merchant uses its own drivers.
Rates may vary by contract, product, location or promotion. Marketplace providers include ordering, discovery, payment and support services that the proposed JW Delivery model may not include.

Questions before launch
JW Delivery FAQs.
What is JW Delivery?
JW Delivery is a proposed local marketplace designed to connect businesses that need delivery support with approved independent drivers.
Is JW Delivery available now?
Not yet. The service is in pre-launch planning, with a local pilot proposed for Caerphilly and surrounding areas.
How are delivery prices agreed?
The proposed workflow allows a business to offer a price and a driver to accept or counteroffer. Final pricing and commercial terms will be confirmed before launch.
Who pays the driver?
The payment process, responsibilities and timing remain subject to final commercial and operating approval.
Can businesses book drivers in advance?
Scheduled deliveries are part of the proposed model, subject to driver availability and final operating rules.
Can drivers choose which jobs they accept?
Yes, the proposed model lets eligible drivers browse suitable jobs and decide which to accept.
Does JW Delivery replace Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats?
No. Those services offer established ordering marketplaces and other features. JW Delivery is proposed as a focused driver-connection option and may complement other channels.
Which areas will be supported first?
The initial pilot focus is Caerphilly and surrounding areas. Coverage will be confirmed before launch.
What checks must drivers complete?
Identity, right-to-work, licence, vehicle, insurance and other checks may be required. The exact policy will be published before applications are approved.
How can businesses and drivers register interest?
Use the relevant secure form on this page. Registering interest does not create an account or guarantee acceptance into the pilot.
